Hometown: Dover, DE
Current/Previous Career: Before Riley, I was an Account Executive in Public Relations. I'm now a stay at home mom, and just started a fashion/lifestyle blog, something I've always wanted to do, but never really had the guts. Follow me on Instagram: jennifercyr01 or my website jennifercyr.com
Tell us about your Family: I am one of three girls and very close with my family, who fortunately live locally. I've been with my husband, Travis, for 7 years, married for 3. He is from Maine and his family still lives there. Riley is the first grandchild on both sides. We have two dogs (cavapoos), Boh and Lucy.
What are your current challenges as a mom? Finding a few seconds to breathe/ "me" time. Being a mom is amazing. It's surreal to think that we actually created another little human being, but I've learned very quickly that I am now on "Riley time"
What is your favorite part of motherhood? Seeing her smile, hearing her laugh and watching her develop everyday. I'll never forget the look on her face when she took her first steps, she was so proud of herself! I'm pretty sure I ugly cried, but I'm blaming that on hormones!
What’s one piece of advice you would give to a first time mom? You're not alone, although at times it may feel that way. Sometimes it feels like no other mom could possibly be going through the same thing. Not getting the hang of breast feeding, sleepless nights, a gassy baby, whatever it may be. When I would speak to other new moms, I was surprised and relieved to know they were also going through it. Find people you can talk to, it makes a huge difference.
What do you like about Stroller Strides? I wish I had found Stroller Strides sooner! It's a great little community, fun way to meet other moms/babies and an awesome workout.
What is your favorite exercise? My stomach hasn't been the same since pregnancy, so any ab exercise.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us or makes you unique? I was born a redhead. Annie red. I've never dyed my hair, it has just gotten darker over the years.
