When can I start working out at Stroller Strides?

Once your doctor gives approval at your 6 week postpartum check up, we would love to have you in class!

I would like to try a Stroller Strides class but not sure I can commit...

Your first class is always FREE so stop by and check us out!

Do I need a jogging stroller?

No, a jogging stroller is not required. Bring a sturdy stroller that your child can be secure and comfortable in for the duration of the workout. The only stroller we do not recommend is an umbrella stroller. This stroller does not promote good posture and tends to tip over.

What do I need to bring to class?

For You:

  • Dress in comfortable workout clothes and sneakers.
  • Bring along a towel or mat for the ab exercises and stretching.
  • Plenty of water
  • A snack for after class if you plan to stay around.
  • Sunscreen or hat if the weather is sunny.

For Baby:

  • Sturdy Stroller (doesn't have to be a jogging stroller).
  • Plenty of water and snacks
  • Toys and/or books to keep baby entertained. Instructors will do their best to keep baby happy but always nice to have multiple distractions!
  • Sunscreen, hat, or stroller shade on sunny days.

What if my baby cries or gets fussy?

All of the babies and toddlers will cry at some point, but what better place to be than with other moms who totally get it! The instructor will do their best to help keep baby happy and entertained so you can enjoy your workout. You are a Mom first and tending to your baby may be necessary at times.

What if it rains or it's too hot outside?

We have an indoor location set when the weather is not ideal. You can check the website or Facebook page for updated class information. The change of venue will be made by 8 a.m. the morning of class.

Is Stroller Strides all year round?

Yes! We move to our indoor location in November through April. Locations and class times will be announced in advance. Check the website and Facebook page for updated class information.

Does my child always have to stay in the stroller?

While we know it's sometimes tempting to let your little one out during class, we encourage you to keep your children in the stroller. Stroller Strides takes on a nation-wide policy of keeping children safely secured in the stroller for the duration of the class. We will do our best to get them involved and enjoying class...but it must be from the safety of their stroller.
